What is the BBL HERO?
The BBL HERO is a new, non-invasive approach to skin revitalization using Sciton’s BBL. The procedure offers the advantage of improving skin tone and surface imperfections associated with aging and photodamage.
What areas can be treated?
The BBL HERO is ideal for any part of your face, neck and chest with rosacea/skin redness, freckles, age spots, cherry angiomas, acne, dull complexion or brown spots. Brown spots which were previously difficult to resolve, respond very well to treatment.
What do treatments feel like?
You should feel minimal to no discomfort during treatment as your provider gently glides the BBL HERO hand piece across the skin. Simultaneously, a sapphire on the end of the applicator’s device will keep the skin cool and comfortable. After treatment, most patients will continue to feel warm for an additional 30 to 60 minutes.
How long will the treatments take?
Treatment time depends on the area of the body being treated. However, most treatments should take less than one hour.
How many treatments will I need?
Patients receiving BBL HERO treatments can expect visible results in just 1 to 2 treatments.
What happens after the treatment?
You can enjoy normal social activities immediately after treatment as there is no heavy or time-intensive post-care. Your skin may feel tender like a sunburn, pigmentation may darken, and some swelling and redness may persist temporarily.
When will I see results?
Your body’s natural healing process of replacing damaged cells with new cells will begin in the days to weeks following your treatment and will result in revitalized skin.
Will the spots and redness reappear over time?
New brown spots and diffuse redness may appear with new sun damage; however they too can be treated. Remember to always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots and diffuse redness. Rosacea is chronic and cannot be “cured” with any laser or light source, however its appearance can be improved.
